DR. SCOTT SWERDLIN

A proud Florida native, Dr. Scott Swerdlin grew up immersed in a lifestyle centered around cattle and horses. His passion for animal care led him to earn his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 1976. Shortly after, he served as Chief of Clinical Services at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, a role that honed his leadership and veterinary expertise during his military service.

After returning to the United States, Dr. Swerdlin established a successful private veterinary practice in South Florida, focusing on equine medicine. His contributions to the field earned him a seat on the Florida State Board of Veterinary Medicine from 1981 to 1987, during which he was honored with the prestigious Gold Star Award for excellence in veterinary medicine. In 1999, he achieved membership in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, extending his qualifications to practice in Great Britain.

Dr. Swerdlin specializes in lameness diagnostics and treatment for performance horses, as well as veterinary practice management. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys playing polo, fishing, and exploring the world.
